The Primordial Deity that once ruled (and embodied) the primeval oceans, Cipactli hungers for the blood of not only men, but the Gods themselves.


Cipactli is a part-crocodile, part-toad, part-fish avatar of the Devouring Sea, a terror of the deep originating from Atzlanti prehistory, its huge body stretching to around 250 feet long.

Cipactli is quite the apex predator, with a jaw protruding from every joint and a belly the size of a skyscraper. It would provoke utter and total destruction if Quetzalcoatl and Tezcatlipoca didn’t keep it in check. However, those two tend to provoke Cipactli’s irritation, because of their connection to the Mortal Realm.

When it grows hungry or when it has a “meal”, Cipactli retreats to its abode of flesh, comprised of the remnants of a thousand hunts, just parts of every creature that ever got its feet wet. These parts’ numbers are fewer than in the past, due to Cipactli getting impatient, angry and hungry. It only hopes that it can be refurbished soon.

Cipactli represent the Devourer Sea, swallowing those who enters it without having the skills to survive it. It is the least intelligent of the Primordial Gods but it makes up for that with savagery and animalistic nature.


Cipactli has a base dice pool of 24 for all actions. He Favors Physical Attributes and delights in simply tearing his enemies apart.

Boons: Every one- to eight-dot boon fore every purview except Earth and Fire, which are forbidden to him. Cipactli also has all Boons from the Animal (Crocodile), Itzli and Water.
Epic Attributes: Epic Physical Attributes at the 9-dot level (with all appropriate Knacks). All other Epic Attributes at the eight-dot level (With All appropriate Knacks). Cipactli lacks Epic Intelligence, However.
Tough Hide: Cipactli’s leather hide just might be the toughest thing in the Three Worlds. Her hide confers a soak bonus of +25A/50L/100B and has an all-purpose Hardness of 50. Gods and their champions have long theorized that the best way to attack her is to allow themselves to be swallowed and attack from within. There have been no volunteers.
